Episode 17: Joy, Empowered Liberation, and the "Tres Leches of Spirituality" with Ash Ruiz

I am so happy to bring you Ash Ruiz today! Ash is an embodiment of joy and love and it's so good to listen to him talk about these things and pretty much anything that is pouring out of him at any given moment. He is the first man I am featuring on the podcast. I will be featuring a few men in the next couple of months who, I feel, are helping usher the goddess from the underground in their own very special ways. I first met Ash in Miami at a CD release party with his band Here II Here where I was touched by their heartfelt performance. There is a snippet of my favorite song in the intro on today's episode (which you can find online on iTunes or on his website. Ash is a man of many talents as you will hear. He is also tons of FUN and I promise you're going to smile so much as you're listening in to him express his pure heart, stories of spirituality, and wisdom. His joy is infectious!

Thanks for listening and enjoy today's episode!

* BIO:

Ash Ruiz is a spiritual teacher, life coach, shunyata therapist, author, vocal coach, singer/songwriter. He has had the honor to guide, celebrate and support others in realizing and confidently being the loving intelligence they truly are for the past 20 years through speaking engagements, Satsangs, workshops, retreats, healing concerts, private and group sessions and by serving along with his group Here II Here as the melodious soundtrack for the greatest spiritual leaders of our time including Eckhart Tolle, Marianne Williamson, Deepak Chopra, Gangaji, Adyashanti, Neale Donald Walsch, Michael Beckwith, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Jean Houston, Byron Katie and The Tibetan State Oracle to the Dalai Lama.

Just two weeks after his father passed away, a 16 year old Ash had a profound spiritual discovery while filming a music video as a member of the Latin boyband Menudo. The song was entitled “Welcome to the New World” and the video happened to be filmed in the ancient city of Machu Picchu, Peru. After the reverberations of that timeless moment settled Ash no longer experienced himself as “someone separate in a world” but now knew himself as a vast yet immediately present field of intimacy that naturally exists as a presence of benefit for all.

My personal favorite Here II Here song :)

Download this at iTunes http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/here-ii-here/id319180509 Inspired by a Tibetan monk who rescues children deep in the Himalayan mountains, this song is HERE II HERE's first single off their self-titled Debut Album. First-time music video director, Guillermo Muniz (Free Mind Studios) filmed the band on location in Miami and Sebastian, FL (Kashi Ashram) over 3 days in the rainy season ...
